FOCUS AND SCOPE

The scope of the Journal of Community Engagement is vast and covers a wide range of fields that have a direct positive impact on communities. The journal’s main focus is the dissemination of innovative solutions and the application of science and technology (S&T) aimed at solving real-world problems within society. This journal serves as a platform for presenting the outcomes of field activities, capacity building, and improving community welfare through the application of various scientific disciplines. The research published in this journal encompasses deep and relevant aspects of community service, with the goal of making a significant contribution to the development and empowerment of communities.

The aspects typically covered by this journal include education and community development, which aim to enhance literacy, promote lifelong learning, and develop human resources (HR). Another focus is economic empowerment, including the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), social entrepreneurship, and innovation in creative economies. In the field of health and well-being, the journal highlights the importance of health education, improving public health, nutrition, and disease management to enhance the quality of life for communities.

Additionally, the Journal of Community Engagement covers the application of technology and innovation that supports digital transformation and the use of appropriate technologies to address practical issues in communities. In the areas of environment and natural resources, the journal focuses on environmental management, conservation, and the development of local food security, all of which support the sustainability of community life. In terms of social and cultural aspects, the journal also addresses the strengthening of social capital, improving social access, and the preservation of culture as part of inclusive community development. PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The editorial board practices the double-blind peer review.

This process involves the following:

All manuscripts sent were sent at least two external experts in the appropriate field. The manuscript passes the double-blind peer review, both writers and reviewers do not know each other.
Review comments are transmitted to the author, along with the possibility of recommendations for the revision of the manuscript. The editor tells the author, whether the manuscript is adopted without revision or the author is given the opportunity to review the manuscript and send it again, or the manuscript is rejected.

This journal uses a lockss system for content distributed filing published in several libraries and information centers. Library - The project key ensures the long -term storage of the comprehensive log file and automatically restores damaged information.

AUTHOR FEES

Author Fee

The Journal of Community Engagement requires authors to pay a publication fee upon the acceptance of their manuscript. The standard publication fee is IDR 400,000 ($25) for manuscripts of 10 pages or less. This fee covers the costs associated with various stages of the publication process, including article submission, peer review management, typesetting, and indexing. These processes ensure that articles are formatted professionally, tagged for easy retrieval, and listed in global academic databases, making them accessible to a wide international audience.

For manuscripts that exceed the 10-page limit, an additional charge of IDR 25,000 ($2) per page will apply for each extra page or fraction thereof. In cases where a manuscript has more than five authors, there is an additional fee of IDR 25,000 ($2) per author to accommodate the extra administrative work required for managing multiple contributors.

These fees are crucial for maintaining the journal’s operations, ensuring that all aspects of the publication process are professionally managed, and supporting the ongoing efforts to disseminate research globally. The funds raised from the publication fees help cover the costs of hosting articles on dedicated servers, supporting sales and marketing efforts to promote the journal, and ensuring that published articles are preserved permanently. This comprehensive funding structure allows EEP to provide open access to its content while maintaining high standards for research dissemination and long-term accessibility.
